Gold price continued its upward momentum in Pakistan as it gained Rs750 and was standing at Rs215,200 per tola for selling on February 22 in Pakistan, dealers said.
Similarly, the price of gold 10 grammes recorded an increase of Rs644 to settle at Rs184,500 as against the earlier price of Rs183,856 in the local market.
In the international market, gold prices rose for a sixth straight session on Wednesday, supported by a weaker dollar and safe-haven buying, ahead of the minutes from the US central bank’s latest policy meeting.
Spot gold rose 0.4% at $2,030.7 per ounce - its highest since Feb. 9 while US gold futures edged 0.1% higher to $2,041.3 per ounce.
