Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has now announced candidates for chief ministers in three provinces. However, there seems to have been some confusion as one of its candidates did not even manage to get elected.
Barrister Gohar announced on Thursday that Salaar Khan would be PTI’s candidate for the position of Balochistan’s chief minister. He added that the name had been approved by Imran Khan himself.
However, Salaar Khan did not even contest elections for the provincial assembly. He did run for the National Assembly from NA-263 but was declared the runner up.
A tweet from Gohar later said that the name for Balochistan’s CM will be decided in consultation with Salaar Khan.
On the other hand, the party has nominated Ali Amin Gandapur in KP and Aslam Iqbal in Punjab as the candidates for CM.
