PPP leader Sherry Rehman has filed a petition in the Election Commission of Pakistan against the suspension of internet and mobile services in the country during the polling process.
In a video shared by journalist Nadir Guramani on X, she was seen sending the petition to the ECP official.
The development comes after the party chairman asked his party leaders to approach the relevant fora against the suspension of services.
She expressed concern at the internet outage on election day and demanded that services be restored “urgently”.
The PPP leader said that suspending the internet services would “negate democracy and the polling process”.
