PPP, PMLN settle allegations of vote buying

Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz have withdrawn complaints regarding vote buying in Lahore’s NA-127.

Representatives of candidates of both parties appeared before the district monitoring officer on Tuesday and said they were taking back their complaints.

The parties took back the complaints over the condition of the code of conduct being followed by all parties.

The saga had begun when PMLN’s Attaullah Tarar alleged that PPP was trying to buy votes in the area.

He had allegedly stormed an election office belonging to PPP’s Punjab Assembly candidate Misbah ur Rehman.

In reply, Rehman had filed a complaint Police Station Kot Lakhpat and the matter had also wound up infront of the moniotring officer.
