PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has thanked the people of Karachi for turning up in big numbers to participate in his procession on Monday.
“Thank you Karachi, the city of my birth, the city I call home! For over 12 hours the people came out and made their voices heard,” he said in a post on X.
Bilawal has explicitly stated that the PPP would not form electoral alliance with any political party and it was contesting the general elections on its own.
The PPP chairman has criticised his rival PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in his speeches for their economic policies in the past and during the 16-month rule of the PDM government.
Bilawal’s procession in Karachi passed through 21 points in the city.
“They have rejected the politics of hate and division. Together we will return Karachi to its glory. And together we will build an equitable, peaceful, progressive, and prosperous Pakistan,” he said.
