Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has said that he will not accept elections if Nawaz Sharif is imposed through ‘rigging and force’.
Speaking to Shaukat Piracha during a rally in Karachi, Bilawal said that Nawaz is already behaving as if he has already been made prime minister.
He added the impression has been spread among the masses that election swere delayed for Nawaz and the fact that he was acquitted from courts and given protocol at the airport added to the impression.
Bilawal said that there have been plenty of complaints of malpractice in the pre-election period but if the poll day remains controversy free it will be acceptable as a fair election.
However, he added that if Nawaz was imposed through a rigged and forced election, he would not accept the results.
He added that he would resist the result of the elections in such a case, the same way he had resisted the ‘selected’ government of Imran Khan.
On Imran Khan, Bilawal added that the PTI chief had the right of appeal after his conviction but would have to follow the process. He said that the if Khan considers that injustice was done to him, he can raise the matter in courts.
The PPP chairman said that both Nawaz and Imran were practicing ‘politics of hate’ which would have to be done away with.
On the recent rains in Karachi, Bilawal said that 73mm rain had fallen in 15 minutes leading to issues across the city. He claimed that the water was drained by the morning.
