The Pakistan Tehreeke-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to postpone its intra-party elections, sources said on Friday, as members seek delay due to busyness in election campaigns.
The former ruling party was scheduled to conduct intra-party polls on February 5.
Sources said that the decision was taken after the party leadership held talks with the PTI chief organiser and requested a delay, saying that they were busy with electioneering.
The PTI is likely to announce the schedule after the general elections, which are slated for February 8.
After the Supreme Court stripped the PTI of its election symbol, the party announced that its candidates would contest elections as independent candidates.
