The Election Commission of Pakistan has summoned several candidates for violation of code of conduct and imposed fines on them.

According to the ECP spokesperson, the district monitoring officer in Kohat took action over the violation of code of conduct.

The authority imposed a fine of Rs5,000 on independent candidate from NA-35 Noor Aslam Afridi while another independent candidate from the same constituency Fawad Ullah Khan Afridi was imposed a fine of Rs10,000.

Moreover, the ECP imposed a fine of Rs5,000 on ANP candidate from PK-90 Yaqoob Khan and a fine of Rs10,000 on independent candidate Junaid Ullah Afridi.

The spokesperson added that the monitoring teams also removed banned hoardings in different areas.
