‘I’m so scared’: Rabia Anum responds to Satti’s defamation notice

Rabia Anum has given a sarcastic reply to a legal notice sent by anchorperson Ashfaq Ishaq Satti to her allegedly for defaming him.

“Oooo I’m so scared,” she said in response to Satti’s post on X on Wednesday.

The ARY News anchor’s name was among the top trends on social media last week after his second wife Nomaika shared some of her pictures and a copy of the first information report (FIR) against Satti.

He received flak from many social media users. But Satti has called for an end to his media trial and let courts decide the matter. He also criticised Anum for making statements against him without approaching him.

In the six-page notice, the ARY News anchorperson has accused his former colleague of making libellous statements and allegations of a heinous nature.

Satti has asked Anum to apologise to him and withdraw the allegations. He has demanded that the apology should be published on her webpage, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp accounts.

It added that the amount of “damages should not be less than Rs100 million.” He has asked her to furnish an undertaking in tenor and terms to be agreed, not to repeat the same or similar allegations in any manner.

Moreover, the notice said that his legal costs which he has incurred and would incur would be about the matter.

In an interview with The Current, Anum said that such threats would not intimidate her.

“I’m speaking up for the victim who has 13 injuries on all her body parts and I will continue to speak about it until he presents himself in the court and stops hiding,” she said.
