Light and moderate rain continued in several parts of Karachi on Tuesday night. The Pakistan Meteorologist Department (PDM) has predicted drizzling and light downpours throughout the day.
According to the advisory issued by the PMD, several districts of Sindh including Sukkur, Larkana, Dado, Mirpur Khas, Karachi, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jaccobabad, and Kashmoor are expected to receive moderate rain on February 2 and 3. Due to rains, there is a risk of flooding in the local rivers of Barkhan, Kohlu, Sibi, Nasirabad, Dalbandin and Khuzdar.
During this period the weather will remain cold and mainly cloudy.
After Tuesday’s rain, the airport, Shahrah-e-Faisal, University Road, Nazimabad, North Karachi, Orangi Town, Quaidabad, Saadi Town, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Surhjani, Kimari Korangi, Malir, Mehmoodabad, and other areas of Karachi received moderate rain minimum 0.4mm to 7.5mm.
Following the downpour locals had to face trouble as the rainwater accumulated on the roads, leaving many injured due to the minor accidents.
On the other hand, the upper regions of the country are under the influence of western winds, snowfall is continuing intermittently in Gilgit-Baltistan, Naran Kaghan, Guliyat, Murree and Swat.

The advisory predicts snowfall and downpours in the Azad Kashmir mountains and plain areas. Due to heavy rains on February 2 and 3, there has been a fear of flooding in the rivers of different districts of Balochistan.
Landslides due to snowfall are also expected in Murree, Galiat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astor, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch and Haveli from today. Fog will remain in some areas of South Punjab and Upper Sindh, moderate and heavy rain is expected in Islamabad and surrounding areas.
Moreover, around the clock, the weather will remain cold and cloudy across the country.
