Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, has said that the judge in the cipher trial delivered his judgement under ‘instructions’.
Speaking to reporters outside Adiala Jail after the sentencing, Aleema said that she was not worried by the verdict as it would be struck down eventually. She said that the decision amounted to a ‘funeral’ of justice.
Aleema said that the trial had been a ‘sham’ and the key witnesses, Azam Khan and Asad Majeed had not even been cross examined.
She said that the court was afraid of the names of General Bajwa and Donald Lu being mentioned in the court.
Aleema also alleged that the judge delivered his judgement under ‘instructions’ and was trying to save his job. She also alleged that the judge had misbehaved with her.
She called upon voters to ensure 100% turnout in the upcoming elections in the country, as it was the only way to fight the ‘unjust’ system of the country.
