Munawar Faruqui has emerged victorious in the Indian reality show Bigg Boss 17 after live voting, reported BBC.
Faruqui lost his house in the Gujrat riots, which he claimed forced him to shift to Mumbai. Soon he was deprived of his mother as well.
He won the reality show on the same day he turned 32 years old and was awarded a golden trophy and Rs5 million cash.
Abhishek Kumar remained the runner-up winner.
Bigg Boss became thrilling when a girl named Ayesha entered the show leading to Munawwar making headlines for his behaviour around woman.
Faruqui said he did not lose hope but recognised that he would have to fix something that prevented him from running on the thoroughfare of success. Farooqui stopped for a while and solved all the difficulties he had faced before.
Faruqui who was born in Junagarh of Gujrat in 1992, went through thick and thin to reach success. He even worked as a crockery seller and graphic artist.
“Once Munawar told me that he was on the set of an advertisement, there was also a stand-up comedy scene to be shot. The producers didn’t have anyone who could go on stage and do stand-up comedy,” his friend, Balraj SIngh, said.
Then the producer asked him to go on stage and speak two lines. He played those lines very well. Faruqui seemed to have been doing all this before.
After that, he appeared in many of our shows and unexpectedly became very popular.
Faruqui ’s relatives believed that at first his family dismissed stand-up comedy, but when his popularity grew and people started taking selfies with him, they realized that he was really serious and passionate about it.
