Karachi is still in the grips of a cold spell as the temperature went down to 12 degrees celsius, according to the Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD).
According to the weather bulletin by the Met Office, a new cold wave entered Sindh under which the temperature in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkar, Dadu, Mithi and Nawab Shah dropped. Here the minimum temperatures have been recorded at 12C, 8C, 5C, and 7C, respectively.
However, the weather forecast indicates that several districts of the province will experience cold and dry weather, while Hyderabad, Jacobabad, Sukkar, Larkana, Gothki, Kashmore, and Padidan are likely to see smog prevailing.
On the other hand, the weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country, while it was very cold in the northern regions and North Balochistan. Islamabad, Potohar region, Punjab, plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The PMD has recorded minimum temperature in Leh -12C, Skardu -10C, Kalam -7C, Gilgit, Astur, Kalat -6C, Gopus, Srinagar -5C, Chitral -4C. However, Dir, Hunza, Rawalakot, Quetta and Mirkhani -3C.
