Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Atif Khan has expressed resentment against his party’s leadership for not showing him the final list of candidates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Khan said that the list of candidates was not shown to him despite instructions from Imran Khan.
The former provincial minister added that he had been told that the list was a ‘secret’ and could not be shown to him.
Atif Khan is among a handful of recognisable party faces who have stuck with the party thruogh the crackdown launched on it in the aftermath of the violent protests of May 9.
The PTI has already been denied its electoral symbol ‘bat’, forcing it to field all its candidates as independents with different electoral symbols.
However, the party is still trying to rally support to get its candidates elected as elections draw closer.
Polls are set to be held across Pakistan on February 8.
