“Following the telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Iran, it has been mutually agreed that ambassadors of both countries may return to their respective posts by January 26,” a statement from MoFA said.
The statement also added that Iran’s FM Hossein Amir Abdollahian will visit Pakistan on the invitiation of FM Jalil Abbas Jilani on January 29.

Additionally, the Pakistan Customs officials deployed at Chabahar Port left the port and were returning to the country after Pakistan announced to end officials ties with Iran.
However, the two countries had engaged on a diplomatic level after Pakistan launched its own strikes into Iranian territory.
