Security forces killed seven terrorists in Zhob, Balochistan, on Monday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations.
In a statement issued on Monday afternoon, ISPR said that the terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation in the Sambaza sector in Zhob, near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
After an exchange of fire, the army ‘effectively surrounded and engaged’ the terrorists, killing seven of them.
“Resultantly, seven terrorists were sent to hell who remained actively involved in terrorists activities against security forces as well as killing of innocent civilians. Arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists,” ISPR said.
A sanitisation operation was carried out to make sure no other terrorists were present in the area.
The operation comes days after Iran carried out missile strikes in Balochistan, prompting Pakistan to expel the Iranian ambassador and carry out its own strikes in Iranian territory.
