At least four terrorists were killed by security forces in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday, the military’s media wing said.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations said that an intelligence based operation was conducted in the general area of Mir Ali in the North Waziristan district.
“During the conduct of the operation, after an intense exchange of fire, HVT Terrorist Comd Tabassum @ Qadarman, along with Terrorist Sajid @Sarkandi, were sent to hell by the security forces,” it said.
Two more terrorists were killed in another joint operation conducted by the security forces and police in the general area of Kulachi in the Dera Ismail Khan district.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the site. According to the ISPR, terrorists remained “actively involved” in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as extortion and target killings of innocent civilians and were highly wanted by law enforcement agencies.
Sanitisation operations were being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. “Locals of the area appreciated the operations and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism,” it said.
