The Election Commission of Pakistan will allot electoral symbols to contesting candidates for the next general elections today (Saturday).
A significant Supreme Court hearing to determine whether the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) will play its electoral innings with or without a “bat” will also take place today.
A list of 145 symbols to be allocated to candidates from different political parties has already been sent by ECP, in addition to a separate list for independent candidates.
In a separate move, the ECP permitted two political parties to run in the general elections on Friday and delisted 13 political parties for neglecting to organize intra-party elections.
