Former Balochistan Assembly member and senator Mir Aslam Buledi sustained injuries in a gun attack in Turbat city of Balochistan on Wednesday, Rescue officials said.

Unidentified car-borne opened fire on the former MPA came near Issa Komi Park in the city, they said, adding that Buledi took a bullet to his shoulder and another to his leg.

Buledi, who is contesting for the polls from NA-258 on a PML-N ticket, was moved to the Teaching Hospital, they added.

No one has claimed responsibility for the gun attack yet while the police have also not issued a statement regarding the suspects involved in the firing.
