The Pakistan Stock Exchange added more than 2,000 points on the first trading session of the year new year as it crossed the 64,000 mark on Monday.
The benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 2,210.74 points or 3.54% to settle at 64,661.78 levels at the closing of the market.
The KSE-30 Index added 839.59 points or 4.04% to reach 21,616.13 levels at the closing of the trading session.
Themarket had closed on a positive note on the last trading session of 2023 as it gained 400 points to reach 62,451.04 points.
The PSX has been on the march in recent months and has shattered multiple records.
The bullish trend came on the back of improvement in multiple economic indicators including improvement in the rupee’s value as well as decrease in the prices of fuel.
