Many countries around the world are massive destinations for technology graduates, boasting opportunities for not just high-paid employment but also further movement up in the industry.

With IT hubs spread out across the world, tech graduates will not only find better pay cheques but will become part of vibrant communities that truly make the most of their talents.

Here are the top destinations for tech graduates in 2024, sorted in terms of decreasing annual salary.

Switzerland

Average annual salary: $103,715

One of the world’s biggest tourism destinations also has massive technology hubs in Zurich, Geneva, and Lausanne. The tech industry in Switzerland is mainly focused around medtech, biotech, fintech, and cleantech. And the annual salary is highest on the list.

United States

Average annual salary: $99,461

In addition to the Silicon Valley, the proverbial hub of the world’s technology, Seattle, and New York are major centres of techonology in the US. From security to social media, the US tech industry is diverse and hires from all over the world.

Germany

Average annual salary: US$63,767

Apart from a massive inudstry in Berlin, the cities of Münich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Stuttgart are all major tech centres and hire from all over the world. Berlin is Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) and part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIC).

Netherlands

Average annual salary: $62,783

United Kingdom

Average annual salary: $62,587

Canada
