The Saudi security forces have arrested an Indian blogger for actions deemed detrimental to the interests of the Saudi Kingdom, Free Press Kashmir reported on Wednesday.
Zahack Tanvir is known for his pro-Modi and pro-RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) views and has been.
Currently in custody, the details of his arrest and the exact charges against him were being investigated.
It is pertinent to mention that the Saudi authorities have not officially confirmed the arrest nor have they disclosed the charges against Tanvir.
Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Saudia Arabia has also not issued an official statement regarding the arrest.
Tanvir is a Saudi-based Non-Resident Indian and is the director, founder, and editor of Milli Chronicle Media England where he promotes pro-Modi and Pro-RSS views.
Claiming to be a Muslim in his bio on X, he also claims of being an “anti-Islamist”.
Shared on X, a video showed him critcising the protesters who called for a ceasefire in Gaza and an independent state of Palestine.
In a video, he claimed that teenagers in the West may join radical organisations more lethal than ISIS.
