Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf was caught short when he was asked to pad up at the end of the Melbourne Stars innings against Sydney Thunders on Saturday.
He caught everyone’s attention when he entered the ground without gloves, pads, and a helmet, probably to avoid the time-out effect.
Rauf didn’t put pads on since he was on the non-striking end when he entered the ground. He was seen laughing and interacting with the bowler.
The right-arm fast bowler did not face any ball.
Rauf was not the only Pakistani who caught everyone’s attention in the match as his national teammate Zaman Khan, who is playing for Thunders, in the tournament was declared player of the match for his performance.
Zaman, who balls with a sling action, bagged three wickets for 24 in four overs. He wickets of power hitter Glenn Maxwell, Hilton Cartwright, and Jonathan Merlo.
