Rawalpindi Police managed to recover a former official missing since multiple years from a beggar gang on Tuesday.
According to police, Mustaqeem Khalid became a part of the police in 2006, at only 20 years of age.
However, Khalid was dismissed from service in 2011 after failing to report for duty for a prolonged period without any cause.
In 2016, he had suddenly gone missing from his house in Kalar Syedan. His family had searched for him desperately and had said that he was not mentally stable.
Khalid remained missing for seven years until today, when police found him begging in Dheri Hassanabad after allegedly being kidnapped by a gang.
Police also arrested three women members of the gang. The arrested women inlcude two sisters, Samina and Maryam.
Officials believe the ganag to be originally from Sindh and raids are being carried out to arrest more members of the gang.
