Australia are well on track to play unchanged XI against Pakistan in Melbourne Test, which would start on December 26.
Uncapped Lance Morris would return to the Perth Scorchers after being omitted from the squad for the Boxing Day Test.
Morris’s omission is the only change as the selectors trim the 14-player squad they had in Perth to 13 for Melbourne.
Australia beat Pakistan by 360 runs in the first Test on Sunday as spinner Nathan Lyon achieved another milestone of his career. He become third Australian bowler to pick 500 Test wickets.
“I don’t think injuries are going to be an issue, so I dare say it will be a pretty similar line-up at this stage,” Cummins said of the XI who will play in the Boxing Day Test.
“I think all the bowlers are pretty fresh after (the win in Perth). It’s basically the ideal start to the summer.”
Despite suffering a nasty blow to the hand in Perth, Marnus Labuschagne said he is fit to play the Test match.
