In a historical step, Lahore witnessed its maiden experiment with artificial rain on Saturday.
During a press conference in Lahore, Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi said that there was a successful experiment of artificial rain in Lahore, and the Prime Minister congratulated him.
Mohsin Naqvi revealed the careful orchestration of this unprecedented endeavor happened with the help of the UAE.
CM Punjab said that this morning Lahore was the most polluted city, and artificial rain was given for the first time in the history of the country.
Detailing the procedure, Naqvi said, the rainfall was induced across ten areas of Lahore and 48 flares were deployed for cloud seeding, specifically targeting the Shahdara area.
CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, while lauding the success of the first-ever Lahore artificial rain experiment, reiterated the meticulous planning that went into the initiative.
He expressed gratitude to the Environment Department and the entire UAE team for their exhaustive scrutiny of the process, culminating in the eagerly awaited results.
Remarkably, he emphasized that not a single rupee from Punjab’s coffers was spent on this groundbreaking achievement, crediting the UAE Government for their support in making the artificial rain project a reality.
