Pakistan U19 will start their 2024 ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup campaign by taking on Afghanistan U19 on January 20 next year at Buffalo Park Cricket Ground in East London, South Africa.
The International Cricket Council on Monday released the schedule for the event set to take place at five venues across South Africa.
A total of 41 matches will be played between January and February in the 15th edition of the Under 19 World Cup. The final of the tournament will be played on February 11 with a reserve day of February 12.
India will defend its title in the edition after winning the final of the last edition in the West Indies in 2022.
They are placed in Group A with Bangladesh, Ireland, and the USA while Pakistan Afghanistan, New Zealand, and Nepal have been placed in Group D.
Group B includes England, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland and Group C features Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
All teams will play two warm-up fixtures in South Africa between January 13-17.
