Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians leader Pervez Khattak has termed the decision to dissolve assemblies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab as the reason for ‘destruction’ of PTI.
Speaking to Aaj News, Khattak said that the year of 2023 had been damaging not just for KP but for the entire country. He added that the chaos in the conutry during the ongoing year had driven away investment.
He added that politicians should sit together to sort out their issues so no harm comes to the country.
Khattak said that the decision to dissolve assemblies in KP and Punjab was wrong. He added that assemblies are not dissolved in democracies.
He also put the entire onus of the decision on former PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Khattak said that Khan had asked him to dissolve the assembly when he was chief minister as well but he had suggested resignations instead.
He added that the decision to dissolve assemblies was what had led to the destruction of PTI.
The PTI-P leader said that elections would take place in 2024 and the government and political parties should work together to make sure there were no mishaps.
