Pakistan’s main weapon against Australia would be another Afridi: Shahid Afridi

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi is quite excited ahead of the upcoming Test series between Australia and Pakistan, which begins on December 14 in Perth.

For the upcoming series, Afridi highlighted the significance of star pacer Shaheen Afridi’s role in the series.

Afridi was quoted as saying by Cricket Australia, “Shaheen Afridi’s bowling spells will be extremely important in Australia. He possesses the skills to trouble any batter in the world. Bowling in Australian conditions will be a good learning experience for him, and I believe he will play a crucial role in the series,”

Afridi also admitted that Australia will be a tough team to beat in their own ground

“Aussies are traditionally strong, both mentally and physically,” he said. “They are a very formidable side in their own conditions and facing them is always a challenge.”

“They have a very strong batting order, and I expect a good contest during the Benaud Qadir Trophy. The series will undoubtedly be a test of skills and resilience,” he added.

Pakistan, who are currently playing a four-day game against the Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra, will face Australia in a three-match Test series.
