The reason behind the emergency landing of the an Indian flight at Karachi Airport on Tuesday has finally been revealed.
The SpiceJet flight landed after a passenger onboard was feared to be going into cardiac arrest.
The flight was travelling from Ahmedabad in India to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates when a 28-year-old passenger suddenly needed medical attention.
As a result the flight asked for permission to land, which was granted. The plane landed in Karachi at 9:15.
A spokesperson said that doctors administered emergency aid to the passenger upon landing.
However, the spokesman clarified that what was suspected to be a case of cardiac arrest actually turned out be a case of hypoglycemia or low blood sugar.
