Court directs Adiala jail superintendent to produce Imran Khan on Dec 6

An accountability court in Islamabad on Monday directed the authorities to produce PTI founder Imran Khan before the court on December 6 in the £190 million case.

The court issued notice to the superintendent of Adiala jail to produce the former prime minister in the next hearing.

The court also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Shehzad Akbar, Zulfi Bukhari, Farhat Shehzadi, and Zia Mustafa.

On November 13, the court issued arrest warrants for Khan in the Toshakhana case and the £190 million case.

Judge Mohammad Bashir conducted the hearing on the two cases where the National Accountability Bureau had filed an application seeking Khan’s arrest warrants.

Khan, who is incarcerated in Adiala jail, engaged with a group of journalists inside the jail earlier today. It was his first such exchange since his arrest on August 5.

The former PTI chairman has claimed that the May 9 violence was part of, what he calls, ‘the London Plan’.
