Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has decided to keep the location of polling for its intra-party election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa secret.
Sources said that the arrangements for the intra-party elections have been completed but the location has been kept secret and could be changed until Saturday morning.
The sources added that secrecy is being maintained because many leaders could be arrested if they come out into the open.
PTI is also trying to make sure that most leaders are elected unopposed to avoid any controversy.
Ali Amin Gandapur is in the hunt to become the party’s president for KP while Atif Khan is contesting for the spot of regional president.
Barrister Gohar Khan has also filed his nomination papers as the candidate for chairman.
The elections are being organised after the Election Commission of Pakistan told the party it could lose its electoral symbol ‘bat’ unless polls were held within 20 days.
