Alleged audio reveals rift between Bushra Begum, Imran’s sisters

An audio recording allegedly belonging to Bushra Begum has made new claims about rifts between her and Imran Khan’s sisters.

The audio clip contains the recording of an alleged phone call between Bushra Begum and lawyer Latif Khosa where she can be heard complaining of an argument with Imran Khan’s sister.

Aaj News could not independently confirm the authenticity of the audio clip and its contents. It is not clear when the audio was recorded.

The audio seemingly suggests the events happened in a meeting with Khan where Bushra and all three of Khan’s sisters were present. Bushra suggests that the sisters were not in favour of Khosa representing Imran Khan and herself in their legal matters.

The former first lady went on to say that the discussion had become a major issue and she had chosen not to respond to the sisters’ point of view.

Bushra also told Khosa that Khan’s sisters had complained of the lawyer’s misbehaviour towards them.

She can also be heard saying that she had told Khan that Khosa would pursue her cases and all of Khan’s cases that were getting late. She added that she had left the meeting.

The audio comes a day after Barrister Gohar was named a candidate for chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

It is worth noting that Khosa had refuted news of Khan dropping out of the intra-party elections hours before the development was made official by PTI’s Ali Zafar.

Latif Khosa reacts to audio leak

Khosa, a senior lawyer, is a member of the Pakistan Peoples Party and has been representing the PTI chief in several cases registered against him.

He also responded to the leak.

Prior to the announcement of Gohar’s name for the chairman’s candidacy, some quarters had speculated that Bushra Begum or Aleema Khan could also be candidates for the leadership of the party.

Khan’s sisters Aleema and Uzma are not officially part of the party but have been vocal about securing his release and regularly appear in court hearings involving him. They have also been implicated in cases related to corruption and events of May 9.
