Father and son relationship forced Ranbir Kapoor to sign his upcoming movie ‘Animal’, he said, revealing that he was not very close to his real father Rishi Kapoor.
The top star of the Kapoor family Ranbir Kapoor began his journey with Saawariya, and it has been an incredibly amazing journey since then.
The actor recently discussed how he dealt with after his father Rishi Kapoor’s demise.
He also reminisced about his relationship with his father in Rishi’s life, “There is a very strong father-son emotion. And I think that was the base that I connected with. While growing up, I was not very close to my father.”
“There was a lot of love and respect but there was distance,” said Ranbir and added that this connection forced him to connect with ‘Animal’.
Regarding his father’s death, Ranbir remarked, “I believe that losing a parent is always the lowest point in a person’s life.” Thus, it’s unlikely that I still really comprehended the grief I felt when my father passed away a few years ago.
“Somewhere all father-son chemistry in India is a bit dicey. I connected with that part of the story.”
“Whenever I used to meet Sandeep, I used to ask him to give me a reference for my character. I have never felt things like this and subconsciously I remembered my father.”
“I think the way he used to talk; he was a very passionate, aggressive man. So I tried to take that from my father,”
Ranbir claimed that the death of his father had increased his maturity and sense of responsibility. He also revealed that he wasn’t particularly close to his father when he was a child.
