Presidential award winner among four killed in blasts in KP’s Waziristan, Bajaur

At least four people including a presidential award winner were killed in two separate blasts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.

Malik Aslam Noor Khan, Tamgha-i-Shujaat along with his two sons was killed while two others were injured after an explosion occurred near their vehicle in Wana town in South Waziristan.

In another instance, Bajaur Youth Organisation’s vice president and social worker Sabz Ali Khan was killed in a blast in Khar area of Bajaur.

According to witnesses, Khan’s vehicle was completely destroyed in the powerful explosion. Locals said that the victim was a prominent personality in the area due to his social work.

Meanwhile, SHO Khar Niaz Khan said that investigations have been initiated into the bombing and killing of the social worker.

On July 30, more than 50 were killed in a suicide bombing targeting a public gathering of Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-F at Shandy Morr in the outskirts of Khar city of Bajaur.

Inspector General of Police in KP Akhtar Hayat Khan told Aaj News that the police have found the remains of the suicide bomber, while further investigations were under way.
