India’s right-arm fast bowler Mohammed Shami gave a hard-hitting reply to Pakistani players after a different-ball controversy and claimed that Pakistani cricketers believe they are the best.
In his interview with the brand Puma India Shami claimed that Pakistani players couldn’t bear his performance: “I was not playing in the initial matches but with my debut in World Cup 2023 I had taken 5,6 wickets in every match.”
“Pakistani played couldn’t digest my performance and they initiated ball controversy that ICC is giving different ball to India,” said Shami.
Moreover, expressing his thoughts cricketer added: “Pakistani players think themselves best, but best perform on time, work hard, and stay firm behind the team.”
“You are extending the debate,” he said while explaining his views and added without calling Pakistani players: “Sudhar jao yar”.
While quoting the comments of Wasim Akram he further defined his statement that the former Pakistani captain already defined the procedure of ball selection process, from the box.
Shami said it is laughable if a player gives such comments.
With 24 wickets, the fast bowler finished as the tournament’s top wicket-taker. he recorded the highest total of any Indian bowler in World Cup history.
