Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud has called for immediate dispatch of aid to the Gaza Strip and urged all countries to stop exporting weapons to Israel.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman said Saudi Arabia calls for a comprehensive and concrete peace process to resolve the Palestinian issue and that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with the borders of 1967 is necessary.
“Our conference is taking place at a time when Gaza is in great trouble and we once again strongly reject Israeli attacks in Gaza,” Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz said in his address to an online BRICS summit on Tuesday, al-Arabiya.net reported. ’
The Crown Prince noted that “the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is deepening day by day, and decisive solutions must be implemented,” and urged “an immediate cessation of military operations and the establishment of humanitarian corridors to provide relief to civilians in the enclave.”
Israel’s government and Hamas on Wednesday agreed to a four-day pause in fighting to allow the release of 50 hostages held in Gaza in exchange for 150 Palestinians imprisoned in Israel, and the entry of humanitarian aid into the besieged enclave.
