Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Tuesday that the masses must give him a chance instead of politicians who had already had power but did nothing.
Addressing a public gathering in Upper Dir, Bilawal said that if the country’s challenges are to be confronted, the old way of politics would have to be left behind in favour of a new brand of politics.
He said that the main issue in the country was the ego of old politicians. He said that the old guard was busy in fighting personal disputes.
The PPP chairman said he had taken power with the Pakistan Democratic Movement so that the problems of the country could be fixed with unity.
He added that things had worked out well at first and even the institutions had announced that they would be ‘neutral’. He said that PPP had welcomed the new stance from institutions.
However, he said that the alliance had failed to achieve the objectives it had come to power to deliver as no relief had been given to the public.
Bilawal said that the masses had seen the real face of both the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and both had done nothing to solve the country’s problems.
He added that now the masses must give a chance to the PPP.
Bilawal said that PPP’s government is not a government of the elite but instead represents the people of poor areas of the country.
