FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Pakistan, Tajikistan to clash in Islamabad today

The FIFA World Cup qualifying round 2 match between Pakistan and Tajikistan will be played in Islamabad today on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Pakistan football team head coach Stephen Constantine said that football has returned to Pakistan.

He also said that Pakistan has emerged as a new team in the qualifying round.

The head coach of the Pakistan team said that every match is important for us.

A day before the match, Pakistan and Tajikistan teams practiced hard in Islamabad at Jinnah Stadium.

The match between Pakistan and Tajikistan will start at 2 pm at the Sports Complex.

In order to play Pakistan in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualification Match, the Tajikistani football team arrived in Islamabad on Monday.

Pakistan lost to Saudi Arabia in the opening World Cup qualifier match, and they are now participating in the second match of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
