The false propaganda about Pakistan selling arms to Israel was debunked after it was found out that the aircraft believed to have supplied the ammunition was repatriating Afghan refugees to Bahrain.
The story on Pakistan’s sales of arms to Israel amid its aggression in Gaza was initially reported in the Indian media which was later picked up by social media accounts linked to a political party in Pakistan.
The propaganda campaign was started in the neighbouring country and an aircraft supplied arms to Israel. It was later revealed that the aircraft was part of Pakistan’s refugees’ repatriation plan and was shifting Afghan refugees to Bahrain.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has taken a strong stance against Israeli aggression on Gaza and has raised its voice in support of Palestinians who are faced with indiscriminate bombing by the Israeli air force.
During a meeting with the Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan Ahmad Jawad Rabei, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir expressed condolences on the loss of Palestinian lives in the ongoing war in Gaza.
He expressed grave concern over unabated violence and willful, indiscriminate killing of innocent civilians by the Israeli Defence Forces in the war.
“Incessant attacks on the civilian population, schools, universities, aid workers, hospitals and the forced exodus of Palestinians from Gaza are manifest crimes against humanity,” COAS Munir said.
In another instance, he said that the Palestinian people have the unequivocal diplomatic, moral, and political support of the Pakistani nation.
Amid the Israeli attacks on Gaza, Pakistan’s ambassador to the United Nations Munir Akram had said that the Israeli occupation is the original sin in this case and that it is not what happened on October 7.
“The enormity of the crimes that are being committed by Israel against the Palestinian people are so great and enormous that it is amazing that when my friend from Canada insists on naming the organisation Hamas that he does not feel the need for the equity and balance and fairness for which Canada is so well known,” he said during a meeting of the UN General Assembly.
