The Jamaat-e-Islami will organise a Gaza March in Lahore on Sunday to show solidarity with the people of Palestine.
The march will begin from the Punjab University campus bridge and large attendance of party workers is expected.
JI chief Siraj-ul-Haq will lead the rally. Other key party leaders are also expected to make speeches.
Speaking ahead of the march on Sunday, Haq said that the rally would be historic and would remind people of Palestine that they are not alone in their struggle.
He also said that the march would send a message the ‘cowardly’ ruling class to take practical steps to help Palestine.
He added that he expected that Israel’s sige of gaza would wind down after the Organistaion of Islamic Countries summit but the military action had instead intensified.
Haq also said that Islamic world had turned into a ‘graveyard’ and there was a complete silence from the ummah.
