After making major gains in Balochistan, Nawaz Sharif set to embark on a tour of Sindh.
Reports said that preparations have begun for the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz chief’s tour where major names could announce joining the party. The visit can take place over the next 10 days.
Bashir Memon, the newly-appointed president of the party’s Sindh Chapter is reportedly reaching out to key political players in the province to attract major names.
Party sources said that Murtaza Khan Jatoi and Ali Nawaz have already met with party leaders and could their entry into the party as soon as today (Friday).
The party added that back-door negotiations are underway to attract electables to the party ahead of the elections.
In a trip to Balochistan earlier this month, Nawaz met with several major politicians of which over 30 announced they would join the PMLN, inlcuding former Chief Minister Jam Kamal.
On the other hand, the Grand Democratic Alliance has also called a meeting of the party’s core committee to discuss whether they should ally themselves with PMLN or go for a seat adjustment formula.
