Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan’s appeal in the cipher case will be heard in the Islamabad High Court on Thursday.
In the Islamabad High Court, the hearing on the appeal in the cipher case of Chairman PTI will be held today.
Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb and Justice Taman Rifat Imtiaz will hear the appeal, the court has issued an injunction on the jail trial of the cipher case to date and has asked the Attorney General for all the records containing the reasons for the jail trial.
The court has also questioned the trial conducted so far in the cipher case of Chairman PTI.
Earlier, The Islamabad High Court issued a stay order against the jail trial of Imran Khan in the cipher case till November 16.
A two-member bench of Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Saman Raffat announced the decision on Tuesday. The decision was announced while a hearing of the cipher trial was underway in Adiala Jail.
The bench took up petitions against the special court’s constitution and jail trial in the cipher case on Tuesday. Imran Khan was represented by Salman Akram Raja while Deputy Attorney General Arshad Kiani appeared on behalf of the government.
The bench remarked that allowing a few family members into the jail trial did not make it an oepn court hearing.
