Lahore got relief from polluted air and smog after downpours as Pakistan’s Peshawar and Karachi remained on top of the Air Quality Index (AQI) with a high number of unhealthy particles in the air.
In the list of the most polluted Pakistan’s five cities Peshawar, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Islamabad are on top with unhealthy particles 168,163, 158, 122, and 105, respectively.
On the other hand, the Punjab Environment Protection Department has released the air pollution data recorded in major cities of the province today.
The air pollution in Lahore College for Women University was recorded at 151 particulates while the pollution in Town Hall Lahore was 166 particulates.
Similarly, in Shale Valley Range Road, Rawalpindi, air pollution was recorded at 55 particulates.
According to the Environment Protection Department of Punjab, air pollution has been recorded at 188 particulates in Shaheen Wells Phase Two, Lahore, Faisalabad Bypass Road and Sheikhupura.
