Despite Karachi’s love for food, the Bhel Puri and Bohri soup in the city’s Hyderi area is the epitome of good taste when winter meets spring. Though both items are available round the year, but the city’s weather increases the craving for them.
Al Hussaini Chicken Corn Soup, Chat, and Bhel Puri have been tantalising the taste buds of many citizens for around 30 years. There was a time when a single plate of their main item was sold at Rs2.5, the owner shop told Aaj News as he tried to complete an order. Now the spicy Aloo Papri plate is sold at Rs120.
All the ingredients are homemade; the shop owner said and added that they have five types of sauces.
When asked, he thanked God and said that they have always chosen to offer fresh and clean food to the customers.
Customers are seen at the shop in the evening as it is open from 4pm to 12pm, but the staff starts working from 8am to prepare the soup.
The shop, near Dolmen Mall, has a gentle ambiance and gives a typical Pakistani food outlet. Like every other shop, there is a fan at the counter shop where a helper passes the item and helps his boss in making the food.
Customers at the shop were satisfied with the food, saying that it was clean and fresh.
