The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a record-breaking session on Friday as the benchmark KSE-100 Index crossed 55,000 levels at the closing of the trading session, dealers said.
The KSE-100 index traded in the green throughout the day, making rapid gains. The Index eventually closed at 55,391.36 points, after adding 1,129.94 points or 2.08%.
An analyst at Arif Habib Limited said that the average traded volume at PSX witnessed a 2.4-year high.
The average daily traded volume increased by 32.4% to 639 million shares, the highest since July 1, 2021.
Similarly, the average daily traded value increased by 4.9% to 21.1 billion shares which was the highest since November 30, 2021.
The KSE-30 Index also remained positive throughout the trading session as the Index gained 384.26 or 2.11% to reach 18,566.36 levels.
