Pakistan to free 80 Indian fishermen today

Pakistan is set to free 80 Indian fishermen who have completed their prison sentences in the country.

Reports said that the fishermen completed their incarceration in Malir Jail in Karachi.

The fishermen will be taken to Lahore via the Allama Iqbal Express at 2 pm today. The expenses of the train journey will be paid by the Edhi foundation.

The foundation will also provide the fisherment with clothes, cash and other necessary items.

In Lahore, they will be handed over to India authorities at the Wagah border.

Fishermen from both countries are often arrested after mistakenly crossing into the other country’s waters.
