The security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Ursoon near the Pakistan- Afghanistan border in district Chitral on Wednesday, killing two terrorists while injuring four others, Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement.

During the conduct of the operation, a fierce fire exchange took place between the security forces and terrorists, resulting in the killing of two terrorists, it added.

“Sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area,” the ISPR stated.

Locals of the area appreciated the operation by the security forces of Pakistan, who remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, it added.
