Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has constituted a “Political Engagement Committee” to hold political dialogues with the political parties in the country.
Senator Barrister Ali Zafar, Senator Dr. Humayun Mohmand, Ali Muhammad Khan, Ali Asghar Khan, and Raoof Hasan have been included in the committee, the party said in a statement on Wednesday.
Earlier, Senator Zafar said that PTI Chief Imran Khan allowed and instructed party leaders to hold dialogues with political parties only to ensure timely elections in the country.
“If any party wants to stand with us and work for timely elections, then we will work with it. We will work together with them on this single point agenda and nothing such as negotiations and alliance,” he told Munizae Jahangir on Spot Light on October 30.
Last month, a PTI delegation led by Asad Qaiser called on JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to offer condolences on the demise of his in-law and party workers in the Bajaur blast.
“Since the purpose of our meeting was to recite Fatiha and condolence, no political discussion was on the agenda,” PTI’s Ali Muhammad Khan, who was part of the delegation, wrote on X.

But sources told Aaj News that political matters were also discussed during the meeting. Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif and Junaid Akbar were also part of the PTI’s team.
