The rupee declined further against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market on Wednesday.
The greenback gained 51 paisas to reach Rs286.9 at the closing of the market, as against the closing of Rs286.39 the previous day.
In the open market, the dollar was trading at Rs287.5 on Wednesday.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange kept up its strong run to regain the 54,000 mark as investors’ confidence remained high during trading session.
The benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 525.69 points or 0.98% to reach 54,261.42 levels at the closing of the market.
The KSE-30 Index gained 192.02 points or 1.07% to hit 18,182.1 levels at the closing of the trading session on Wednesday.
